8 more days

Words can't express how grateful I am for all the support I have been receiving in the Bobbi Brown Pretty powerful contest! I am so thankful to each person who is spreading the word on twitter, facebook, their own blog (Thank you soooo much JC, Akua and Zaidat among others), hair boards. Thank you sooooo much!!!
I am moved and humbled by the outpouring of love.

This experience has truly allowed me to make peace with the demons of the past(being bullied in school,self-esteem issues and overcoming excessive shyness).I see my reflection in the mirror with new eyes :)

We still have 8 more days to vote.
Please do not stop voting and spreading the word!
I am in position # 3 and would love to keep it that way and/or move higher.
Only the top 5 will make it to the next round.
You can vote multiple times until March 26th.
Thank you soo much again!!MERCI :)

Petals and peacocks

Isn't it so pretty!!!
It is from the MAC Liberty London collection :)
I love the packaging too!
I added cremestick liner in 80% to tone it down a little bit.
I am also wearing a little bit of MAC So Ceylon MSF on the cheeks, a touch of Stila stick foundation in J as a concealer, filled in the brows with MAC stud pencil and finished off the I-am-running-errands-look with Bobbi Brown Everyday mascara in Black.
Did you purchase anything from this collection? Share your haul :)

There's still plenty of time to support yours truly in Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful contest. You can vote several times until March 26th.

Coup de coeur: la boutique de Fleurtzy

It is simply rewarding and inspiring to see bloggers launch their own business ventures. I am faithful reader of Texture Playground for hair tips, hairstyles ideas, advices and other tidbits about natural hair.
On March 1st, Fleurtzy opened her store and of course I was among the first to be online, waiting to place my order.

Everything is tempting but I knew I couldn't use the hair butter and the hair serum since I am allergic to citrus oils ...they both have great ingredients though :)
So I settled for the hair oil which I received today :)
Everything was well-packaged and she included a thank you card :)

It is too early to give my verdict but so far I know it will work really well for me because it has ingredients that my hair loves such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil among other nourishing oils.
I also love the fact that I can use it as a body oil!
Now the scent.....lavender and jasmine.
3 words: oh mon dieu!
I had to order more bottles!

I am soooo proud of Fleurtzy and can't wait to see her line grow!
