I've been meaning to write a review on this palette for a while but I wanted to make sure that I had no regrest purchasing it.
After all, I spent hours
a) obsessing about it
b) watching youtube reviews
c) stalking Specktra to look for swatches
d) almost emailed Musings of Muse to ask her if it is really worth it and read her review
seconds before hitting the send button
e) even drove 3 hours round trip to personally check it out..LOL
I got it as a congratulations- you- survived- another- intense - semester gift to myself and I wasn't sure how quickly it was going to get sold out..
off topic:
If MAC ever launches a similar palette, it will get sold out within a hour!!
I am still mad I couldn't get my hands on the manish arora palette :(
*end of rant*
A close up of the palette:

What I love about the palette:
- the size of the eyeshadow: I never finish my eyeshadows or hit the pan even if I use them regularly. These sizes are perfect!
-perfect for traveling
- range of color: it allows me to play with colors I won't usually wear.
- texture of the eyeshadow: matte, soft, easy to blend.
- color pay-off: some colors are pigmented while other color look better with some sort of base such as a pigment or one of MAC paint pots.
My verdict:
this palette is not a must have at all , especially for those who have the 88 palette or a significant
collection of MAC eyeshadows.
Actually those who have the 88 palette might laugh at BB palette..lol..
Anyways, for those who are afraid to wear brights colors, who usually wear neutrals but would like to play with color from time to time, this is a good palette to have in mind but not a must have.
The only reason I didn't return it is because the palette grew on me..
Plus I feel bad returning an item I've used several times.....
Below are 2 FOTDS where I didn't use a base because I wanted to create a very soft look with bright colors. It was such a warm day and I was afraid the make up will melt..
Here's what I used:
Face : Bobbi Brown pressed powder in Golden Orange (T-Zone)
Cheeks: Nars Gilda and Dolce Vita
Eyes
Concealer: MAC Select Cover Up in NW 50

Eyeshadows:
Bobbi Brown gum drop eyeshadow (all over)
Bobbi Brown Electric Pink (lid)

Look # 2 (my favorite)
