This eyeshadow has been in my wishlist for the longest time as my favorite beauty bloggers told me it is a must have! Most of the time, it is sold out but my patience was rewarded and recently I was able to buy it at Sephora.
To delay the pleasure of wearing it, I just open it, admire it then put it back in my traincase.
Today I decided to wear it and to my biggest surprise, I was so disappointed: on me, it looked like a deep smokey purple.
It was so dark that I added MAC vibrant grape to soften it. I thought it was supposed to be a bright purple.
Did I receive a bad batch? or maybe I had too many expectations....
Nonetheless, I decided to work it...

I think the color looks good with the Vibrant Grape. I remember when i got mine I couldn't figure out what the rave was about but when I work with it slowly I start to see the truth. It really is an amazing purple.

are you wearing a base? you kinda have to with it...something like a cream color or something...and then you have to tap tap tap it into the skin...believe me it works!
What I really noticed is how beautiful your brows are! Do you tweeze or wax or neither?

Try just patting it on with a firm brush instead of sweeping it. Do you have MAC's Violent piggie? That might be a good base too to make the color pop more. MUFE #9 is a softer more lilac purple and that might be something you want to check out too! I think you look great! ;-)

your brows are cute..try a base next time for better color payoff but the color looks great on you.

I agree. I was expecting this vibrant purple and it was a dark purple. BOOOOOO.
