getting ready for the winter

sigh....I can't believe November is here!

Where did October go?
My biggest challenge is fighting ash!
My skin gets sooo dry and irritated and I go through shea butter so quickly.
So this time, I decided to make a big tub using my favorite butters/oils.
Meet my new creation "Reglisse". which means Licorice in English.
actually I hate licorice...lol..but I looove its smell....so I decided to add
anise essential oil to my creation.
update on the hair/body butter I made on Friday:
The butter has seriously hardened and it is a bit of a struggle to scoop it out.
I used it as a body butter yesterday and today and so far I really like it!!
From now on, anytime I use cocoa butter, I will add equal amounts of shea butter
I am also glad I kept it unscented. I find myself smelling it and closing it with a smile on my face.
Reglisse
Ingredients: shea butter, mango butter, sweet almond butter, lavender infused oil (that batch was infused for almost two months in a grapeseed and sweet almond oil base), anise essential oil.

Do you have to keep the body butter in the fridge?

This looks super good! I need it for my preggo belly! I keep running out of Shea butter too... I'm obsessed now that I am pregnant...I'm afraid of stretchmarks! LOL

Congratulations Najwa! I am very happy for you and wish you all the best in your pregnancy. I stopped worrying about strechmarks because I am a little zebra. No matter how much shea butter/cocoa butter I use..nothing helps..oh well.

Amiaa, drink plenty of water or better still, suck on icecubes, that will help to get more water into you. Try to eat a lot of watery fruit and keep a thicker moisturising cream. I went out today and it was very bright, the sun shining, but you can feel the cold.

Oh my, that looks delicious! I have the same issues with serious dryness & ash between my knuckles & my shins so I've been rubbing a mixture of my cocoa butter lotion with coconut oil and my skins feels like velvet! Your mixture looks so edible...I wonder how it would feel on my skin. YUM!
