Durala

DURALA, D'Une Rive A L'Autre ..can be translated in English as from one shore to another, or from coast to coast. It is a term created by Khady Beye and Jessica to represent those who have traveled extensively from one coast to another and embrace both cultures. Duralians also refuse to be labeled in a category that misrepresent them.

Khady was recently featured in a Canadian magazine "Opale"and I am so proud of her.
She looks absolutely gooorgeous and I wanted to recreate the make up look!
Here's what I used:
Face
just a little bit of concealer: Bobbi Brown concealer in golden
cheeks: MAC Mineralize Blushes in Gleeful and Love thing

Eyes:
base: MAC eyeshadow in Brown Down
lid: MAC eyeshadow in Showstopper
brow highlighter: Stila eyeshadow in Go Lightly
liner: MAC pencil in smolder
Brows: MAC stud
Mascara: Maybelline Stiletto Lash in very black

Lips:
MAC lipgloss in Fierce and Fabulous
MAC cremeliner in 80%
In the first picture, I am not wearing any make up.

Love it Amina
First: Thanks a lot for putting up pictures of me in the mag and telling more about Durala and what I do :)

Now about the make up! You did it very well and it looks beautiful on you. I am a big fan of blush, the make up artist really played well with it on me and so did you. Also there was a big emphasis on my eyes and you did it very well too, love it.

Last but not least. The lips. True story: the make up artist initially put dark red lipstick on me. I NEVER wear lipstick. We had a small argument about it (lol) and we ended up removing it, putting a pinkish lipgloss and lipliner and I felt very good in it. It looks very nice on you too mama. Love it!

Thanks again!

Beautiful! Your face looks flawless! I think you caught the same makeup bug as I . Having locs make you do things you never would have ventured on LOL!!!

I have not tried Nars. I do MAC, Revlon, and Iman for foundation: NC50, Caramel, and Earth 1. Blush, I use MAC: Sweet as Cocoa. I cannot find a drug store brand close to that color :( Finishing powders, I use MAC:NC45 and Revlon colorstay: Suntan matte. Lipsticks, my primary is MAC A88 Moroccan and N.Y.C. 406B Garnet. Another product not to sleep on is N.Y.C. cover stick in yellow. It covers better than most premium concealers!

I just spent $80 at Rite Aid, BOGO free and 70% off clearance! My nieces and I are going to have fun on Christmas!
