I hesitated a lot before publishing this post. Like many of you, I have been in a state of shock and only one question comes in mind: Why?
Living in Boston, I was exposed to Haitian culture, history, gastronomy and I have close Haitian friends.
Yesterday was particularly hard as I couldn't find the words to comfort a friend so I just listened and prayed.I also think a lot about my fellow Haitian bloggers particularly Suzie and Karine and pray that their families are safe and have all the moral support they need.
I just wanted to share the special fundraising that the Beer Soap Company is having. I've been meaning to review their beer soaps as a part of my Etsy series. The Beer Soap company is part of Zaja Naturals but cater to men. There are soaps that women will enjoy and my favorites are Double Chocolate Raspberry, Oatmeal and milk, Banana Nut bread and Black pepper and Lime
100% of all profit made from the sales will go to the different organizations helping Haiti particularly Doctors Without Borders, Habitat, Unicef USA and Yele.
I donated as much as I could, keep Haiti in my thoughts and I just wanted to share this fundraising.
Edit:
Karen's Body Beautiful will help provide relief to the victims by matching your donation.
The donations will go to Wyclef Jean's organization Yele. Please click here for more information

Thanks for the information.
you're welcome :)
Thank you Amina. I also feel the heaviness. Thank you for supporting Haiti.
I still have family unaccounted for there and while trying not to go crazy I am trying to find out organizations to donate to so thank you greatly for this. Big Haitian hug (((hugs)))
My best, Lynn
I agree that this is a particularly difficult time. Sitting at the computer to write a new blog post is a challenge every time I try. I have to constantly remind myself that I cannot help by sinking into a state of depression myself. I have the benefit of not being on the ground, and not having lost as many relatives and friends as others. I feel obliged to count my blessings, and pull myself together to provide the support that others' need at this difficult time!
Haiti is definitely on my mind!

I definitely understand this feeling girl. My heart has been heavy for a week since this happened. Thanks for posting this and for providing another way others can get involved and help with the relief efforts. :)
What's happening there is so sad and I remember sharing some of my classes with some girls from Haiti in Boston but I haven't kept contact with them so I don't know where they are. Thanks for sharing the info
I understand, what you mean. Thanks for the information. Our church did a collection for Haiti and they will be doing on next week.
