Pageant Liptar

I am so comfortable wearing neutral colors that for the longest time I didn't think I could pull off bold colors. I remember 4 or 5 years ago, MAC released a gorgeous lipgloss "Dejarose" and I bought it because I loved the color...but..ahem..I never wore it...and eventually it went bad on me.

Anyways, at the Makeup Show, I fell in love with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip tars.
Erin from Scandalous Beauty told me to get my hands on them because they will fly off the shelves! She was so right!!! To my surprise, I also started collecting them. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and I love how you can mix them to create new ones.

Out of the ones that I have, my favorites are Pageant and Hoochie.



















Hoochie was sold out at the show so I had to order mine online and I received another Pageant ...
Customer service was really apologetic about the error, sent me the correct order and told me that I could keep the extra Pageant. I would like to give it to a lucky reader instead of keeping it. Since the colors are so pigmented, all you need is a tiny bit and I don't need 2 Pageant lip tars.

I love it! To apply it, I first prepped my lips with a lip balm. I am currently using Karess Krafters mango hemp lip balm. Then I used the warmth of my fingers to apply it. It is recommended to apply lip tars with a lip brush but I was ...lazy..lol
I also lined my lips with MAC 80% cremeliner to tone it down a little bit...yes..I am still doing baby steps.....
The color is also long-lasting and personally I don't re-apply it because I am afraid to make a mess by being heavy-handed. I just apply lip balm to refresh it.

Face:
Bobbi Brown Tinted moisturizer in Deep
Cheeks:MAC blush in Raizin and the infamous MAC Stereo Rose MSF ( I almost had a heart attack when I was hunting it down. It was sold out on the website, in Indianapolis, Boston and Chicago...gasp!)

Eyes:
Brows: MAC stud pencil
Primer: MAC e/s in Brown Down
lid :MAC e/s in Romp
Mascara: Maybelline Falsies

Lips:
Karess Krafters lip balm
OCC Pagent lip tar
MAC cremestick liner in 80%
